Senior Management Team
Banji Oyewumi
Managing Director/CEO
Oyebanji Oyewumi is the founder of Hayes Meridian Group and he has been the managing director/Chief Executive officer from the formation of the group.He is with the assistance of an able management team primarily responsible for defining and ensuring that the vision and ideals of the organisation are adhered to across the three countries where the group operates.
He has a B.Sc. (Hon's) in Business Administration, MBA (International Business and Strategy), MSc. in Computing & Information Systems and Oracle Financials Certification from the Oracle University in Mississauga, Canada.
Before forming Hayes Meridian Group, his 25 years career experience and IT Consultancy roles cut across private and public organisations in England and Europe where he worked in senior consultancy roles and assisted organisations to articulate their corporate visions whilst providing solutions to complex organisational problems.
Shalin Chanchani
System Development
& IT Training Director
With a PhD in Business and experience in developing best practices and providing policy advice, he offers conceptual thinking and strong analytical ability as core competencies. He has published papers in refereed journals and presented in several international conferences. A certified MSP and Prince 2 Practitioner.
Before his appointment as a director at HMG, Shalin was an energetic Training Manager, with over 25 years of experience in assessing requirements of candidates, developing training materials to meet needs; constructing case studies to introduce live scenarios and introducing quizzes to ensure learning. He has conducted successful training to a wide variety of audiences from shop floor workers to corporate-executives in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand and UK.
In particular he has delivered training on procurement cycle, contract management, management, accountancy, control systems, business finance, international business and using technology.
Hamzat Bukar
Country Manager - NIG
& Executive Director
Hamzat is the Country Manager of Nigeria & Business Development Director. He is a graduate of English Language with over 26 years experience of developing and managing business particularly within the logistic and aviation industries.
Prior to his appointment as country manager and business development director at HMG, he was Associate Vice President Associate Vice President, (Abuja & North) of Arik Air Limited.
In the course of his career Hamzat successfully developed and contributed to the successes of two airlines.
He is adept at engaging all levels of stakeholders, possess leadership and organizational skills. A team-builder whose Tender/Bid preparation skills and friendly but professional Project management approach continue to contribute to our success stories.
Adeniyi Ali
Project Director
Prior to joining HMG as the project Director in charge of the Construction Design & Management division, Adeniyi spent the last five years with Marik Schmidt Ltd, where he was instrumental to the successful project delivery of various projects. He also worked with BD associates, a design development outfit, undertaking various design and construction projects.
A graduate of Civil Engineering from the University of Ilorin, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, USA and also has a Master’s Degree in Construction management from the University of Lagos.
He is a qualified Engineering and Construction Consultant bringing with over 15 years of combined industry knowledge and hands on experience in Property and Real Estate development, Project and Construction Management and Civil Engineering.
His is vastly experienced; having handled different projects across the globe from airports, hotels and highways to mixed-use developments and high rise buildings.
Adeniyi’s International experience spreads over UK and USA bringing a wealth of cultural experience to HMG.
